Social media giant Facebook has said that by 2020, it will teach 5 million people of India a digital skill. According to the company, a new program has been started which is specially designed for startup and personally. Facebook launches Digital and Startup Training hubs in India. Facebook has introduced two programs – Facebook Digital Training and Facebook Startup Training Hub. The special thing is that Facebook is launching it in India first.
Facebook Digital Training Hub:
This is an online training hub under which training of social and content marketing will be given free of cost. It is for anyone, from students to businessman, if you want, you can learn digital skills. In this course, it will be explained how to create content, how to increase your reach and how to monitor online activity.
Facebook Startup Training Hub:
Developers and tech startups will benefit from this online training hub. They will be told about better product and business development methods. In this course, it will be told how to prepare a business plan, how to prepare products and how to expand their business. Besides this, many skills will be taught in this.
According to Facebook, since 2011, the company has invested more than $1 billion for small business development worldwide. The company has said that more than 60,000 small business trains have been made under Boost Your Business and She Means Business, which includes 12,000 women entrepreneurs.
Facebook Head of Programmes, India and South Asia Riteish Mehta have said, “Digital skills help people think big, explore new possibilities, create new products and better communicating. We believe that there is a need to give tools, knowledge and skills to the people of India for the better way to prepare for the digital economy. We want more people to help their skills because investing in people is a good thing.
In addition to these two programs, Facebook runs offline training programs and Blueprint. Under this, training of online advertisements is given.
Comparable to Facebook, the company is working with local institutions like Digital Studies, EDII (Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India), Dharma life and Startup India, under which such courses are being prepared which are customized according to individual needs. The special thing is that it is available in both Hindi and English languages.
Through Facebook Digital Training, the US-based company will offer free social and content marketing training (not limited to Facebook) for anyone who is looking to develop their digital knowledge and skills.
Speaking about the Facebook Startup Training Hubs programme, Facebook Head of Platform Partnerships India and South Asia said it will cover a range of subjects including how entrepreneurs can protect their ideas, how to hire, how to go about getting funding, regulations and legal hurdles an entrepreneur needs to consider, among others.
