Forget 108MP, 200MP camera, Samsung is going to bring 576MP camera sensor

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra was introduced last year with 108MP camera. After this many more brands have launched many smartphones with 108MP camera. From Redmi to Realme, all the brands have introduced smartphones in the mid range and high range with 108MP camera. Recently, the company introduced ISOCELL HP1 sensor with 200MP camera. This sensor can be seen in the phones of other brands including in the coming days. However, no company has yet announced a phone with a 200MP camera.

According to a recent report, the South Korean smartphone company is working on a 576MP camera sensor. Samsung’s ISOCELL HP1 sensor works on Pixel Binance Technology. At the same time, the company will introduce the upcoming technology in the name of ChameleonCell. However, it is yet to be seen how long the company is going to showcase its 576MP camera technology.

According to the GizChina key, during a presentation during the SEMI Europe Summit 2021, SVP and Head of Automatib Sensors, Heichang Li was explaining the roadmap for the camera sensor. During this presentation, the 576MP camera sensor has been revealed. The company can showcase it commercially by the year 2025. Also, by the end of 2021, the 108MP camera sensor will become a standard resolution.

Talking about the existing pixel binning technology, the 200MP ISOCELL HP1 sensor introduced by Samsung has been given in three layouts – two-by-two, four-by-four and full pixel layout. This prepares the phone’s camera for better photography in bright light as well as low light conditions. At the same time, it can also capture video according to ISOCELL HP1 8K video and 30fps. Due to this technology, by merging 4 pixels, the resolution is reduced to 50MP or 8192×6144.
