WhatsApp has taken a big decision regarding the privacy policy. WhatsApp has withdrawn the decision related to the deadline of May 15 to accept its disputed privacy policy update. Along with this, WhatsApp has also said that even if the terms are not accepted, the WhatsApp account will not be deleted.

Significantly, on the proposed policy of WhatsApp, users had raised concerns about the right to their data. Many WhatsApp users said that under the new policy, their data will be shared with Facebook, a company owned by WhatsApp.

Because of this privacy policy, WhatsApp (the company providing messaging and calling services) was getting a lot of criticism. A WhatsApp spokesperson has said that no account will be deleted on May 15 for not accepting updates related to the privacy policy. In response to a question sent via email, he said on Friday that due to this update, no account will be deleted on May 15 and no WhatsApp service will be stopped in India. We will send new information to people in the next few weeks.

The spokesman said that where most of the users receiving updates of the new terms of service have accepted it. Some people have not yet received this update. The spokesperson, however, did not clarify the reasons why the company changed its stand and also did not disclose the number of users accepting these conditions.
