Reliance Jio’s cheapest 4G handset JioPhone booking is about to begin again. The company has taken its booking only once and it has been closed. Currently, these phones are being sent to them who have booked for it earlier.

Significantly, the company has claimed that Jio has sold 60 million devices in the first phase of the sale. The company’s next target is to create 100 million customers who have shown interest even after having out of stock.

Now the messages are being sent to the customers who are registering the company’s website and for this, they are sending a message with a link. However, the company has not yet officially said that the second phase of the cell will start from when.

The customer has got a message that says, ‘Thank you for showing interest in JioPhone. We will give you information when available – Team Jio’ There is also a link in this message which leads to the website.

The company’s stand is clear that JioPhone will target rural areas or people who still use 3G. Therefore, the company has also started delivery of JioPhone from rural areas only. People in the cities are still going to retail stores and ask about the phone, but they are not getting the phone.

Significantly, Reliance Jio launched the 4G phone with an effective price of Rs 0/-. But in the collision, Airtel and Vodafone have started launching smartphones instead of feature phones, with an effective price of Rs 1,500/-. It is possible, therefore, this time, for live phones, less booking will be seen than last time.

For those who are unaware, the  4G-enabled feature phone is priced at Rs 1,500 which is refundable after a period of three years given users return the device. Those who pre-book the device will have to pay Rs 500 upfront and the rest Rs 1,000 at the time of delivery.

As for specifications, JioPhone offers smart features like a voice assistant, the ability to support Jio apps like JioTV, etc. It gets a 2.4-inch QVGA display and this is a single SIM phone. The phone also supports a microSD card slot, FM Radio, torchlight, and SOS option. There’s also a 2MP rear-facing camera and a 0.3MP front camera. The processor is dual-core SPRD 9820A/QC8905 one and there’s 512MB RAM onboard, coupled with 4GB storage, which is expandable to 128GB. The device is backed by a 2000mAh battery inside.
