Know from the QR code whether the garbage was picked up from the house today

Whether your household garbage is being picked up daily or not, this information will reach the Greno authority through the QR code installed at your house. If the garbage is not being picked up regularly by the vendor, then the authority will take action.

About 200 tonnes of garbage is generated every day in Greater Noida. The authority has put in place a door to door garbage collection system. Two companies are engaged in this work. The tenure of both the companies is expiring next month. In view of this, the Greater Noida Authority has called out the tender. Tenders will be submitted by 28 September. The selected company will pick up the waste from households for 10 years and transport it to the plant. The authority has made many changes in the collection of garbage. There will be an emphasis on technology. Every house will have a QR code. Whenever the waste picker goes to pick up the garbage from that house, he will scan it through mobile scanner. As soon as the scan is done, the information about the garbage collection will reach the vendor.

Whether it is a village or sector of Greater Noida, all the houses will have a QR code. Similarly, monitoring of vehicles engaged in garbage collection will also be done through GPS (Global Positioning System) technology. Till now, GPS was being used only in vehicles engaged in mechanical sweeping of roads. CSTV cameras will be installed at the waste processing plant. Through this, the movement of vehicles engaged in carrying garbage will be monitored. Even after the implementation of the new system, if there is any defect, the residents can complain on the Mitra app of the Greater Noida Authority.
