Koo emerging as No.1 Hindi micro blogging platform, 50 lakh users speak in Hindi

Koo which is India’s microblogging and social media platform has now become a place of conversation in Indian regional languages. Out of 10 million users of Koo , about 50% (50 lakh) users speak in Hindi. Furthermore, out of the 52+ million Koo’s on the platform, almost half are Hindi. By providing a microblogging platform in non-English languages, Koo has created an opportunity for people who are comfortable in their native languages ​​to participate and engage in online conversations.

Conversations on Koo Hindi are related to social causes, political ideas, Bollywood, sports, current affairs, festivals, days of national importance, national leaders. Based on the study of Hindi content conducted over several days and multiple times on several microblogging platforms, it was found that on average, the number of Hindi posts on Koo is almost twice the number of Hindi posts on any other microblogging site. In addition, the number of Hindi users on Koo has increased by 80% in the last 4 months and the number of koo in Hindi has doubled in the same period.

According to the report, the Indian internet user base is expected to reach the billion mark in the next 5-6 years. Indian language internet users are expected to grow at a much faster rate than English users.
Some Chief Ministers communicate only in Hindi: Some Chief Ministers of Indian states communicate only in Hindi on social media platforms. For example, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath (@myogiadityanath), and the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot (@gehlotashok) post only in Hindi. To reach out to their Hindi speaking users, both the chief ministers post in Hindi on the koo app. Apart from this, the Chief Ministers of other states also post in Hindi on Koo .

Politicians and celebrities are joining koo to connect with Hindi users: India’s leading politicians and celebrities, who now use koo , have seen a rise in their number of followers. Recently, West Bengal’s All India Trinamool Congress (@AITC) – Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s party – has made its official account on koo. After this Tej Pratap Yadav of RJD also joined Koo. Similarly, Bollywood actors Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon and Shraddha Kapoor are among those Bollywood stars who have recently created official accounts on Koo.
