Microsoft will soon add Q&A feature to Team Meetings

With an aim to ensure better user meetings, Microsoft on Wednesday announced that it plans to roll out the Q&A app in Team Meetings, which is currently in private preview.

The Q&A app will allow meeting organizers, presenters to add open or moderated Q&A to any team meeting. This will enable the attendees to ask and answer questions before the meeting.

Organizers Nominee Presenters can mark first answers, filter responses, moderately reject questions, pin posts. The company said in the statement that the answers to the questions have been built in conversation with the original question.

Q&A is ideally designed for larger more structured meetings, such as leadership presentations, webinars, classroom training, all hands-on meetings, community events.

The company has also announced the new Community App for Outlook, which brings the full Yammer experience inside Outlook for Web.

Soon, users will be able to join communities, participate in live chat events and share knowledge openly with their peers without leaving the Outlook app, the company said.

According to the company, the Community app for Microsoft Teams helps you stay connected to what’s happening in your communities, taps into the knowledge of Teams departments, crowdsources solution best practices from frontline workers.

In the coming weeks, Microsoft is updating the app to inherit the Teams style, adding notification deep-linking, adding new capabilities like suggested communities.

With Microsoft Viva, Microsoft is creating an employee experience platform that brings together employee engagement, learning training, wellbeing experience knowledge discovery directly into the work flow.
