Price Hike of Smartphone: Companies like Samsung, Realme and Xiaomi have launched new phones due to the festive season and have also increased the price of some popular models. Smartphone prices have been increasing for the last few months. These companies have had to increase the prices of smartphones due to the increase in duty applicable on the import of parts. If you want to buy smartphones from these companies, then you will have to pay more than Rs 500 to Rs 1,500. The latest price hike of these phones is visible on the websites of Amazon, Flipkart and companies.
Xiaomi has launched its latest Redmi-branded smartphones Redmi 10 Prime and true wireless earbuds Redmi Earbuds 3 Pro TWS in India. Redmi 10 Prime comes in two variants – 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB, which are priced at Rs 12,499 and Rs 14,499. This is the first smartphone powered by MediaTek Helio G88 processor.
The smartphone runs Android 11 operating system and comes with a 50MP quad-rear camera setup. Redmi Earbuds 3 Pro comes in Blue, White and Pink color options and is priced at Rs 2,999. The earbuds come with smart wear detection for autoplay and pause.
The earbuds come with IPX4 rating which makes the device water-resistant. It promises to provide 7 hours of battery backup on a single charge.
Xiaomi phones get expensive
Xiaomi has increased the prices of Redmi series smartphones. The company has increased the prices of Redmi 9, Redmi 9 Power, Redmi 9 Prime, Redmi 9i, Redmi Note 10T 5G and Redmi Note 10S. Redmi 9, Redmi 9 Power, Redmi 9 Prime, Redmi Note 10T 5G, and Redmi Note saw a price hike of Rs 500, while the Redmi 9i received a price hike of Rs 300. The new prices are already visible on the company’s website and also on the websites of Amazon and Flipkart.
Samsung Galaxy A52 price hiked
After the launch of Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G smartphone, the company has increased the price of its 4G variant. The price of Samsung Galaxy A52 has been increased by Rs 1,000. The smartphone comes in two variants and the company has increased the price of both the variants. The 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variant which was launched for Rs 26,499 is now available for Rs 27,499. At the same time, 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variant was launched for Rs 27,999, which can now be purchased for Rs 28,999.
Realme smartphone price hike
Smartphone maker Realme has also increased the price of five smartphones. The company has increased the price of Realme C25s, Realme C21, Realme C11, Realme 8 and Realme 8 5G. The price of the new Realme C21 has been increased by Rs 300 while the price of Realme C21 and C25s will now be Rs 500 more. Meanwhile, the Realme 8 and Realme 8 5GB will cost Rs 1,500 more.
