Payment information feature may be available soon
The latest report of WhatsApp updates website WABetaInfo has given information about the new feature.
According to the report, users can soon get a new feature called Payments Information in WhatsApp.
With the help of this feature, users will be informed about the payments that they have made with the WhatsApp payment service.
Users can send money to contacts or receive money from the front during chat.
This is how the payments report will be prepared
Screenshots of the new feature have been shared by the publication, showing that this feature will send a request to WhatsApp to prepare a payment report.
In return, the platform will give information about the payments made by the user and the settings related to them.
According to the screenshot, users will be able to download this report within an hour and to access it, CPF will be required. In this way, the payment information of the users will be completely safe.
Time for all users to get the feature
The report has revealed that WhatsApp feature related to payment information is currently in the development stage.
This feature will be tested in beta version with select users and it will be decided that all the bugs present in it will be fixed.
After this, this payment feature can be rolled out to all users on iOS and Android devices.
The company has not given any official information related to this.
Less users are using in India
WhatsApp’s payment feature ‘WhatsApp Pay’ provides payment option with the help of Unified Payment Interface (UPI) in India.
However, data shared by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has revealed that WhatsApp Pay is not being used by many users.
This service has received competition from other UPI based payment services like Google Pay, PhonePe and Paytm in the Indian market.
