WhatsApp will soon let you post voice notes on status updates

Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is working on a new feature that allows users to post voice notes on their status updates.

According to wabteinfo, this feature is under development so it is not ready to be released for beta users.

As per the report, WhatsApp is planning to enhance the status update functionality by adding support for voice notes.

A voice note shared as a status update can be called a voice status.

This feature will only be shared with people you select in your status privacy setting and the voice note will be fully encrypted as will other images and videos shared in your status.

Recently, the platform announced that it is rolling out a new feature that will let users react to messages with any emoji of their choice.

Currently, the platform gives multiple users the ability to react with a limited number of only six emoji.

CEO Mark Zuckerberg mentioned some emoji like robots, french fries, surf in the sea etc.

Meanwhile, a recent report states that WhatsApp is also working on a feature that will give iOS users the ability to hide their online status from everyone.

Currently, users can choose to display their Last Seen information to Contacts, Certain People, or Anyone. For a future version of the app, WhatsApp will let users follow a similar approach to Toggle Online.
